Building Breaks Truck's Fall After Brake Failure

The sun came out at last today, but the guys at It's Natural Landscaping of Mahwah probably wish it hadn't. While driving downhill on Ewing Avenue toward Franklin Avenue, their truck's brakes failed. 

At almost 1 p.m. Thursday, the truck came to a stop at 574 Franklin Ave. after crashing into the steps of the building housing the dermatology practice of Nancy Spinelli, DO. 

"The truck and trailer lost its brakes and swerved into the lot to prevent hitting any cars," Franklin Lakes Police Sgt. James Schnidt told Patch at the scene. "There were no injuries."

There was no apparent structural damage to the building.
