Housewives March for Babies, Caroline Manzo hosts Rescue Ink dinner: Franklin Lakes' famous ladies had a week filled with fundraising.

On the surface, it might look like our local Housewives are running for office: babies and rescue dogs were the primary causes championed by the famous ladies of Franklin Lakes this week. 

The big events centered around March for Babies, the Morris County Chapter of the March of Dime's walk for which Jacqueline Laurita was the celebrity chair. 

Last Thursday, Jacqueline Laurita, Melissa Gorga, and Kathy Wakile stopped by  in Wayne for a Meet & Greet that raised money for Team Laurita. And, of course, .

On Saturday, Teresa Guidice and her girls came to Franklin Lakes in another fundraiser for March for Babies. The Fashion show at Stage Left donated 15 percent of the proceeds to March for Babies. (Patch was there and will share all the details for you shortly; it was a great event!)

Sunday was the big day: March for Babies at the Madison campus of Fairleigh Dickenson University. And, you guessed it, . (More details, including the Tally of Team Laurita's fundraising efforts, will be coming shortly.

In politics, if you're not kissing babies, a photo with a cute dog is the next best thing. Caroline Manzo (who is not running for office) threw her celebrity muscle behind the dogs on Monday, with a Family Italian Night fundraiser for Rescue Ink, an organization of animal rescue activists.

Dina Manzo’s The Project Ladybug Fund Lucky Locks campaign began this week From May 1 through June 7, participating salons are selling a single red hair extension for a donation of $10. Visit Terry’s Mane Street Salon in North Haledon and Alain Hair Extensions and Straight Ahead in Ramsey or other participating salons.

Lastly, tickets for the Season 3 Premier Party at the Brownstone went on sale last week. The May 16 event costs $75 for regular tickets and $200 for VIP tickets and can be purchased here. 

According to Caroline Manzo's Facebook update, funds raised from the event will go to support the Wounded Warriors Project and Stop Child Trafficking Now.
