Check Fraud Reported

When doing business over the internet, you never know who you are dealing with. On Tuesday, an Aspen Way resident reported one shady Craigslist transaction to the Franklin Lakes police. 

According to the report, the man was selling furniture on Craigslist when a potential buyer sent him a check in excess of the sale price and asked to send back the difference. The check was determined to be fraudulent. Det. Anthony Pacelli investigated.
