Dina's Party Gets Started, Manzo Family Recipes and More Franklin Lakes Famous News

Here's a look at what Franklin Lakes resident celebs are up to this week.

Dina Manzo fans don't forget to set your DVRs for this coming Monday night. At 9 p.m., Dina will be a guest judge on Design Star followed by the the sneak peek episode of her new show, Dina's Party at 10 p.m. 

This week's Design Star challenge is weddings, something the Franklin Lakes-based event planner and former Real Housewives of New Jersey star is quite familiar with. In the episode, the finalists will have 24-hours to create a fantasy wedding reception that is both fabulous and functional — and in line with the couples theme and color. 

"Tune in to see who I call crazy this time!" Manzo tweeted. "Gotta stop calling people crazy, I'm a bit crazy myself."

At 10 p.m., her new show Dina's Party will premiere. The new party-planning featuring Dina's lavish events will run weekly on HGTV starting in September.

"During each episode, Dina and the Designer Affair staff create magnificent events in their clients’ homes. From a posh baby shower, to an over-the-top fantasy wedding or a grand graduation party, Dina will transform any space into something breathtakingly beautiful and unique," reads the announcement on Designer Affairs website. "With her extraordinary talents, Dina makes every occasion a perfect celebration for the important moments in a family’s life.  Tune in to  Dina’s Party on HGTV this fall season 2011. You’ll learn a little, you’ll laugh a little and surely be wowed by what you see!"

In a special preview episode, set to air Aug. 15 at 10 p.m., Manzo plans a spaghetti western-themed bon voyage party for a Broadway actor whose partner is a news anchor who is relocating to Dallas. "Dina saddles up and wrangles an amazing party, transforming the house into the Wild West by outfitting it with unique western props and facades," the HGTV site reports. "The party rooms include a saloon in the dining room, cowboy food troughs on the patio, and an Italian chuck wagon in the great room. The backyard has its own flair, complete with a mechanical bull."

We can't wait to watch it! In the Franklin Lakes area, HGTV can be found on Verizon Fios channel 165/665HD and Cablevision Optimum channel 30/730HD. The episode will run again on Aug. 23 at 4 p.m. The full season starts in September.

Before the Real Housewives of New Jersey, the Manzo family was famous for The Brownstone. Now, the fabulous Brownstone signature sauces have been bottled up for your at-home enjoyment. 

The sauce comes in three flavors, vodka, marinara and tomato basil and is available nearby at Food Town in North Haledon.
