Franklin Lakes Competitive Cheer Team Wins First Place
"...the fact that we are able to compete and win against older, more established teams is truly impressive," said Coach Nicole Lidestri.
The Franklin Lakes Competitive Cheer (FLCC) team recently took first place at Hackensack High School’s 9th Annual Cheer Challenge.
The team, which is comprised of 17 girls ranging in age from 5th to 8th grade, competed against four fierce teams in their category of Varsity C All Music Small.
“We are so excited about the potential of this competitive team,” said Nicole Lidestri, Franklin Lakes’ head coach and cheer director. ”In only our second year, with a young team, the fact that we are able to compete and win against older, more established teams is truly impressive.”

FLCC will continue to participate in competitions across the state this season as they prepare for a national cheer competition that will take place in Ocean City, Maryland in late February.
“We can not wait to see where this team will be in a few years,” Lidestri said.
