Franklin Lakes' Jack Wallace Scores Championship-Winning Goal
Watch: Jack Wallace scored twice to lead the USA over Canada in the 2018 Para Hockey Cup.
FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — Jack Wallace just has Canada's number.
Wallace, a Franklin Lakes resident, scored twice, including the championship-clinching goal, in the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team's 5-4 win over Canada in the final game of the 2018 Para Hockey Cup.
Wallace was named the U.S. Player of the Game.

Wallace helped Team USA win a third consecutive gold medal at the Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea in March. Team USA defeated Team Canada 2-1 in overtime. (See Related: Bergen's Jack Wallace Wins Gold Medal At Paralympics)
The borough threw Wallace a parade in his honor for winning the gold medal.

Wallace is a forward on the team. He lost his right leg in a boating accident in July 2008. An avid hockey player, Wallace recovered and started playing Para ice hockey in 2009. He joined a local team and then earned a spot on the Men's National Paralympic Team in 2017.
