Franklin Lakes PBA: Pics With Santa, Toy Drive Event Planned

Local families can meet Santa while helping out less than fortunate children this holiday season.

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ – Local families will have the chance to meet Santa Claus while helping out less than fortunate children this holiday season thanks to new event planned by local police officers.

On Dec. 15, Franklin Lakes PBA Local 150, along with the police department, will host its first ever “Pictures with Santa & Toy Drive” at Veteran’s Park on Franklin Avenue from 9 a.m. to noon, according to Det. Frank O’Brien.

"This all started with the Santa Response Team PBA Toy Drive, which has been happening annually for 31 years," he said. "We are doing this event in support of the larger event that benefits Tomorrow's Children, Sanzari Children's Hospital, Valley Pediatric Center, US Military families and many others."

The event is open to families from Franklin Lakes, as well as surrounding communities. The morning will feature hot chocolate, coffee and light refreshments, all courtesy of local businesses, he said.

In order to meet and get a picture with Santa Claus, families must bring a new, unwrapped, unopened toy that will be donated as part as the PBA’s annual holiday toy drive, O’Brien said.
