Friday: Wyckoff Parks & Recreation Foundation To Appear Again Before Township Commitee
Group's Followup Presentation on Tuesday will Discuss More Specifics on Plan to Modify Memorial, Pulis Fields

1) The Wyckoff Township Committee will receive a follow-up presentation from the Wyckoff Parks & Recreation Foundation at its Tuesday, February 15, 2011 Regular Business Meeting in the 2nd floor Court Room, Wyckoff Memorial Town Hall, 340 Franklin Avenue at 8:00 pm.
The newly formed resident non-profit organization – the Wyckoff Parks & Recreation Foundation (formed for ongoing enhancements of Township parks and recreational purposes with an initial focus on Memorial and Pulis fields), will present a proposal to enhance the recreational facilities at Pulis Field with artificial turf and outdoor sports lighting and artificial turf at Memorial Field. Fund raising plans will also be presented.
2) Wyckoff will be hosting a one day Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC) training on Saturday March 12, 2011, from 9am-12:30pm at the Wyckoff Town Hall. ANJEC regularly hosts trainings for new Environmental Commissioners and refresher courses for experienced ones.

3) The Torpedoes U13 girls soccer team will be hosting a “soccer hour” for the Billy’s Buddies families on Sunday, 2/13 at 4pm at the Wyckoff YMCA. Billy's Buddies is the Y's program for children with Down syndrome and their families.
The team will be donating their time to teach the children some basic soccer skills. The soccer hour will be followed by a dinner for the team as well as the Billy’s Buddies families.

4) The Wyckoff Ambulance Corps, now in its 85th year, responded to 1,156 calls in 2010. The Corps recently elected its slate of officers. They are: Captain Ernest Tauber, 1st Lt. Charles Bellucci, 2nd Lt. Craig Simko, Treasurer Brian Cole, Assistant Treasurer Jaime McGuire and Secretary Jane Kicks.
5) The Wyckoff Education Association announced a new scholarship opportunity for Wyckoff students this year. A fund has been established to provide two scholarships in the amount of $1200. One scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior currently residing in Wyckoff and has attended school in the Wyckoff Public School District. The second scholarship will be presented to a senior who is the child of a current Wyckoff Education Association member. Eligible applicants must be planning to attend a technical school or institute of higher learning.
