Get Married, Get Lunch – For Free – At Stew Leonard’s

PARAMUS, NJ - Longtime married couples can celebrate Valentine's Day this year by saying "I do, again" at Stew Leonard's store in Paramus.

On Feb. 13, the grocery store is offering free vow renewals and ceremonies for couples who have been married 50 years or more. The afternoon also includes a free luncheon for lovebirds featuring bridal cake, chocolate covered strawberries, sparkling cider, hors d’oeurves and other small plates.

According to the chain, its president, Stew Leonard, Jr. came up with the idea as a way to give back to its new home of Paramus. The Valentine’s Day event was coordinated by Stew Leonard’s, the borough and Mayor Richard LaBarbiera.

If you’re not celebrating a golden anniversary this Valentine’s Day, don’t worry – Stew Leonard’s has plenty of ways for you to mark the holiday.

Between Feb. 11 and 14, customers can watch Stew Leonard’s chefs hand-dip strawberries in white and dark Belgian chocolate, one of the chain’s most popular Valentine’s Day treats. The chocolate-dipped strawberries will be available for $7.99 for a three pack, $14.99 for a six pack and $24.99 for a 12 pack.

The Paramus store is also unveiling "Love on the Run" packages for last-minute shoppers available for purchase at the font of the store on Feb. 14.

Chefs created two gift sets featuring chocolate covered strawberries, along with a few Cupid-approved essentials, including roses, a balloon, and sparkling Rosé wine.
