Girlfriend of Cop Shooter Apologizes

The girlfriend of alleged cop shooter Michael Sean Carmody apologized Tuesday for her boyfriend's actions, telling My9 News that Carmody must have been scared.

Melonie Hernandez said Carmody, who she told reporter Brenda Flanagan she had been dating for three years, was turning his life around after several arrests.

"He was definitely scared for his life," Hernandez said. "He was scared to go to jail. He didn't want to be in that situation no more."
