Indian Hills High School Returns To Hybrid Learning After Closure
The school shifted to remote learning for two-weeks after students and staff were forced to quarantine after a positive coronavirus test.
OAKLAND, NJ — Hybrid learning is set to resume Monday at Indian Hills High School, after a positive coronavirus test forced a two-week school closure and a "significant" number of student and staff quarantines.
The school was closed during the period of Oct. 24 to Nov. 9.
"This case is atypical in how it has impacted our school community and resulted in a significant number of students and staff having to quarantine," the district said at the time.

"In regards to our laboratory confirmed case, the Bergen County Health Department has recommended that all identified students be treated as close contacts and quarantine out of an abundance of caution."
This return to school comes as Gov. Phil Murphy is expected to announce new COVID-19 restrictions Monday.

New Jersey reported over 5,00 new cases over the weekend, and hit the daily 3,000 case mark for the first time since April.
In a recent news conference, Murphy said there weren't any wide-sweeping school changes on the horizon.
"We deal with these districts one district at a time," Murphy said. "They consult with us every step of the way when they make decisions like that."
The district is set to present an updated return to learning plan on Monday, which will look to pause the school's transition to phase three.
According to the presentation, this consensus comes after two school closures, hundreds of students ordered to quarantine and staff also required to quarantine since the school opened.
Additionally, the district says nearly half of students, 47 percent, at Ramapo High School are learning remotely, while 26 percent at Indian Hills are learning remotely.
