Like To Write? Blog on Franklin Lakes Patch

The community is invited to join the conversation in our new Local Voices Section.

Do you like to write or have something interesting to say? Do you live, work or go to school in Franklin Lakes? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Whether you have advice for others in your field of expertise, a strong opinion on local, national or international issues, a wicked sense of humor or stories from the "Good Ol' Days" you would like to share with others, please drop me a line.

You don't need to be an experienced writer or even an adult. Students are more than welcome! We'd love to have people blogging about sports of all levels, from rec to high school to adult leagues and professional teams. We'd love to have people blogging about the local clubs, churches and charitable organizations.

Not a writer, but love to take pictures? You can run a photo blog on Patch. Whether its photos of the beautiful parks and nature preserves, great shots from local games or pictures of your organizations and events.

This week, we launched Local Voices with two great ladies sharing areas of their expertise. Dr. Betty Keller, Medical Director of the Optimal Wellness Center on Franklin Avenue, will be sharing her wisdom with readers. Beth Roy, co-owner of Flirty Finds along with Jaime Hoff, will be speaking from her strength: being a fashionable mom. We have more bloggers in the works and would love to have more.

From Day One, Patch has been about community, and this is just the latest way we are inviting the community into the conversation. There are, of course, some rules and restrictions. The Local Voices section isn't a free for all, as a traditional blog. We are, after all, a family oriented publication. If you are curious to know more, drop me a line at Rebecca.Abma@patch.com and tell me what you are interested in writing about. I look forward to hearing from you.
