National Beer Lover's Day 2017: Where To Find Bergen County Craft Breweries

Thursday, Sept. 7 is National Beer Lover's Day and what other way to celebrate than to pick up a pint or a growler from one of your local New Jersey breweries.

In New Jersey there are 76 production breweries, according to newjerseycraftbeer.com. Four of them are in Bergen County:

1. The Alementary Hackensack | Bergen County
2. Bolero Snort Brewery Ridgefield Park | Bergen County
3. Brix City Brewing Little Ferry | Bergen County
4. The Great Notch Distillery Wyckoff | Bergen County

Garden State Brewers also has a map of local breweries as well:

Beer and the process of brewing has been going on for as long as we know. Virginia colonists brewed beer.

"William Penn included a place for brewing beer within the colony of Pennsylvania which can still be visited at Pennsbury Manor today. The first President of the United States recorded a recipe for brewing beer in his notes. Samuel Adams holds a place in both beer and tea history in this country," according to nationaldaycalendar.com.
