Rooney, a graduate of Ramapo College, has served in the General Assembly since 2016. He is a member of the appropriations and consumer affairs committees.
Prior to joining the Assembly, Rooney served as the mayor of Wyckoff in 2011, and again in 2015 and 2016.
DePhillips also served as the mayor of Wyckoff before joining the Assembly in 2018. He is a member of the financial institutions and insurance committee, and the judiciary and science, innovation and technology committees.
They will face off against Allard, of Ridgewood, and McNamara, of Waldwick.
The Tuesday election will determine a party nomination, and the results are unofficial until certified by the county clerk.
