North Jersey People We Lost, And Remember, In 2018

Many North Jersey lives were lost in 2018, old and young. Two young people died of cancer. Another was a victim of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.

Here are some of the people we lost in 2018:

Florida Shooting Victim, 14, Lived In NJ, 'Loved, Well-Respected'

A beloved teen who once lived in New Jersey, a "loved" and "well-respected" 14-year-old praised by her travel soccer team, was one of the 17 people killed at a Florida high school shooting in February.

Ramapo HS Soccer, Track Athlete Ben Landel Dies Of Cancer

Ben Landel was a fighter. He fought and fought, until Thursday, when he could not fight any longer. Landel, a standout soccer and track player at Ramapo High School, died of cancer.

Minson fought a valiant battle against cancer.
