Part Of Sicomac Avenue Closed Thursday In Wyckoff
Bergen County workers were only able to complete part of the paving project scheduled for Wednesday due to extreme heat.
WYCKOFF, NJ — Scorching temperatures are impacting roadway projects and affecting traffic in Wyckoff.
Officials announced that Sicomac Avenue will be closed to traffic between Mountain Avenue and Russell Avenue on Thursday after Bergen County crews were only able to pave a portion of the project on Wednesday due to "extreme temperatures."
The rest of the paving will now be done tomorrow between 6 a.m. and noon, according to officials. It will begin in the area of Mountain Avenue and progress up Sicomac Avenue to Birchwood Drive.

Residents will still have access to their homes on intersecting streets, but just from one side of Sicomac.
Sicomac Avenue residents, and residents of adjacent dead-end sections of Mountain Avenue, Daniel Court and Kenneth Place and "permitted and encouraged" to park on accessible side streets as overnight parking rules won't be enforced in the area during road work.
