Four-legged friends took over Memorial Field following the Memorial Day Parade for the borough's first Critter Walk. 

The  event was held in memory of Dr. Cheryl Welch, V.M.D. of the Franklin Lakes Veterinary Hospital, as part of the Mayor's Wellness Program. Participants marched in the parade with their pets to raise funds for the Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital's Critter Fund, which aids in the care of community animals, and the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer.

The Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital was on hand with seven dogs that were rescued from Louisiana that did not get adopted at the recent adoption day.
