Police Beat: Drug Charges, DWIs

On Aug. 6 at 9:19 a.m., police arrested a 34-year-old Tappan, N.Y. resident on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. According to the report, the arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 North. Officer Denny Knubel and Jon Rynander investigated.

On Aug. 3 at 8:39 p.m., police arrested a 72-year-old borough man on charges of driving while intoxicated and and careless driving. According to the report, the arrest came as a result of an accident at Colonial Road and Sunset Terrace. Detective Jeffrey Jost, Officer Robert Grassi and Officer Andrew Cacciatore investigated.

On Aug. 3 at 9:35 p.m., police arrested a 55-year-old borough woman on charges of driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, open alcoholic beverage containter in a motor vehicle, failure to keep right, reckless driving and failure to produce a driver's license, registration and or insurance credentials. According to the report, the arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Avenue. Detective Jeffrey Jost and Officer Denny Knubel investigated.
