Primark Among 1st Retail Stores Opening At American Dream
The European chain is popular with fashion savvy shoppers who are also budget conscious.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – One of the first retail stores at American Dream plans to open its doors on March 19.
Primark, a European chain popular with shoppers looking for the latest trends at low prices, announced it'll be opening its 10th U.S. store later this month at the Meadowlands mega-mall.
The new 42,200-square-foot store will feature men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, footwear and accessories, as well as beauty and home goods.

In a press release announcing the opening, Andy Stewart, President of Primark U.S., said, “The unique make-up of American Dream and its offering to customers is reflective of our own ethos to provide something for everyone, and we look forward to being part of the mall's vibrant and diverse retail offering. We are excited to welcome new colleagues and customers to the store. On opening day, customers can look forward to a few surprises to celebrate Primark's new store."
The retailer said over 300 jobs have been created by the new location and it is continuing to recruit candidates. Visit here to apply.

After starting in Ireland in 1969, Primark expanded to other countries and has 360 stores worldwide. The chain opened its first U.S. store in 2015 and now has nine locations in the Northeast, including Freehold Raceway Mall, Staten Island Mall and Kings Plaza Shopping Center in Brooklyn.
It's considered to be one of the fastest-growing retailers in the U.S. currently and is popular with fashion savvy customers who are also budget-conscious, according to a report from Business Insider.
American Dream, the massive $5 billion shopping and entertainment venue in the Meadowlands, opened in October 2019. For now, Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park, IT'SUGAR candy store, Big SNOW indoor ski park and an NHL-size ice rink are open to the public.
New Jersey SEA LIFE, the giant aquarium being built at American Dream, recently revealed a grand opening date of April 23.

DreamWorks Animation Water Park – which will include the world's largest indoor water coaster, a free fall slide with a 70-foot drop, a lazy river and a 1.5-acre wave pool, will be open for previews on March 19 and a limited number of tickets are on sale now online.
Other attractions, shopping and dining will follow over the next several months.

On Thursday, American Dream Chief Executive Office Don Ghermezian said the mall is looking forward to "welcoming a new audience to the property with the introduction of retail, opening some of the largest flagship stores globally."
American Dream did not say which stores are among the first that'll be opening March 19. NJ.comrecently reported that dining options will be limited but Cinnabon, Dunkin' Donuts, Panda Bubble Tea and Haagen Dazs will be open later this month.
More shops will open throughout the year and in September, The Collections, the mall's luxury wing, will debut, according to the mall.
