Question of the Week: How Closely Do You Monitor Your Child's Online Activities?

In the wake of the teen sexting scandal in Wyckoff last week, talk quickly turned to the lack of parental involvement when it comes to monitoring children's access with technology.  One cyber expert went as far as to tell Patch that many children werewith little to no parental guidance.

Patch wants to know: What additional steps can parents take to protect their children from their own impulsive, sometimes reckless actions?

How closely do you monitor your child's online activities? Does your child have a Facebook or myspace page? Does your tween tweet? 

Do you have parental controls set up on the TV and computer, and  if so, do your kids know how to get around it?
