Traffic Alert: DeKorte One-Way For LAX Tourney Sat & Sun

Lacrosse teams from around the region are heading to Franklin Lakes this weekend, for the annual LAX Tournament put on by the Rec Department at Memorial Field on De Korte Drive. The two-day tournament begins at 7 a.m. Saturday and ends at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Here's what you need to know: 

Traffic: DeKorte Drive will become a one-way for the weekend, with cars entering at Franklin Avenue and exiting at Pulis Avenue. Do Not Enter and detour signs will be posted and police officers will be on patrol to assist traffic flow. Drivers who fail to heed the traffic control devices will be ticketed.

Parking: Cars can park on both sides of DeKorte Drive facing westbound, within marked spaces in all municipal lots, the library lot, the VFW lot on Franklin Avenue, at Franklin Avenue Middle School and on Bender Place, with the exception of spaces that are cordoned off. All vehicles parked in violation will be cited accordingly and removed if necessary.   

Library Closed: Due to the expected congestion on DeKorte Drive, the library will be closed for the weekend. Library patrons are encouraged to use any BCCLS member library, including Oakland and Wyckoff.  In order to check out material or use computers, please be sure to have your Franklin Lakes card with you.
