RIH Teachers Contracts On The Table

After a year without a contract, is an agreement about to be reached?

Teachers in the Ramapo-Indian Hills Regional School District reached a "preliminary agreement" with the Board of Education for a new contract, Board President Ira Belsky announced at a recent Board of Education meeting.

"The agreement is subject to final details being worked out, ratification by the teacher's association and then approval by the Board," Belsky told Patch. "We hope to have this all completed before July 1."

The 300-member Ramapo Indian Hills Education Association has been working this school year under a contract that expired last June.
