Scouts Learn Flag Etiquette From Veterans
VFW Post 5702 hosted a "Know Your Flag" class for Wolf and Bear Pack 134.
Eleven members of Franklin Lakes Cub Scout Wolf Pack and Bear Pack 134 visited VFW Post 5702 last Wednesday to learn about the American Flag.
The presentation, hosted by Post Adjutant Doug Neralich and Past Post 5702 Commander Bob Talan, focused on Know Your Flag, a topic found in the Scout’s Wolf book.
With the American, POW/MIA, New Jersey State and Post 5702 flags serving as a backdrop, the students learned how to display, respect and properly fold the American Flag and how to recognize the State Flag.

The Scouts also participated in a Fact Scavenger Hunt based on the various exhibits and displays in the post, and learned about military uniforms, ribbons, and medals.
“The Scouts had a great time," Scout Leader Cathy Perez said. "The Fact Scavenger Hunt was a hit, and we would love to visit the post again.”
