Shelter Pets Waiting for Loving Homes
From Aspen to Zach, RBARI has an adoptable pet for every person.
Welcome to Future Friends, a weekly Patch column highlighting a selection of adoptable pets from around the area. This week's pets hail from Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI):Â
Lager
This black and white cat really needs a good home. As a kitten, Lager was the first of his litter to be adopted from RBARI.  This good start took a bad turn, though: his human companion moved, and could not take him along, so he came back to RBARI. Lager is a happy, playful guy with a sleek black and white coat and a cute pink nose. Curious and playful, Lager likes to explore his surroundings.  He also enjoys lounging on the windowsill and watching the outside world.  Unfortunately, being at the shelter is taking a toll on Lager’s health.  He seems a little overwhelmed by all the activity at the shelter. The stress has triggered asthma, a relatively rare condition in cats, one that’s easily controlled with a daily medication.  The best way to minimize its effects is for Lager to move on to a calmer  life—in a real forever home.  Why not come out to the shelter to be charmed by this lovable guy?
Aspen
This Corgi-Dachshund mix is just 6 months old. He and his sister ended up at RBARI, but are eager to be adopted.Â
