Students Create Vegetable Garden at Indian Hills
Community invited to enjoy the harvest this summer.
The horticulture classes at Indian Hills worked on a collaborative project to build a community vegetable garden. Students prepped the plot, installed an irrigation system, and planted vegetables that were started in the IHHS greenhouse.Â
Along with support from the Jacobsen Landscape Design Company of Midland Park, selected students participated in the installation of an in-ground automatic irrigation system.Â
Crops planted for the year include tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, herbs, and many more. Students are encouraging community members to visit the garden throughout the summer to enjoy the harvest. The garden is located near the faculty parking lot at the rear of the high school.
