This Week's Earth Month Recap

At Patch, we believe conservation shouldn't be limited to one day a year. That's why we are celebrating Earth Month throughout April. Here's a look at the Green Patch stories we ran this week:

On Monday, we followed the trail of our garbage and recycling from your front curb to its final destinations (which may surprise you!)

On Tuesday, we took a look at the green housecleaning industry to get to the bottom of its green claims. We also offered the recipe for our own awesome all-purpos green cleaner, that’s so good (and cheap) you may never buy commercial made cleansers again.

On Wednesday, we offered the last installment of our video series on conserving energy in your home, with great tips to not only save you energy, but to save you money as well.

This week’s Patch Prize Giveaway: Name that Lake contest highlighted another beautiful lake in town. Can you name this lake? 

 On Friday, we finished up the week with Spring Clean Green, where we looked at the garage and outdoor spaces.
