Transitions: Hiring a new district leader for Ramapo Indian Hills
Dr. Fran NELSON addresses the hiring of the next district leader after Mrs. Beverly MacKay announces her retirement.
Last week our Superintendent, Mrs. Beverly MacKay, announced her retirement after many years working in our school district. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. MacKay for her many years of service to our school districts and wish her and her family a long, healthy and happy retirement.
With that said, we are now at a critical point for our high schools. The Board members you elect on Tuesday will have the immediate challenge of hiring of a new superintendent while also directing our district’s Strategic Plan.
I am a mom, a Ramapo Indian Hills parent, a scientist, an educator, a curriculum developer, a director of cutting-edge science programs. I know I have the relevant experience to help hire the right leader who can build upon a great foundation and take our school district to the next level.
