A baseball player at heart, Harrison Certo tore his ACL during football practice in 2016 and was sidelined for months.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Harrison Certo doesn't make excuses.
Certo, 12, was honored for his tenacity and hard work coming back from an ACL injury that kept him sidelined from playing baseball, his favorite sport. He was named the Comeback Athlete of the Month by the New York Islanders and Professional Physical Therapy (PPT). He was recognized at a New York Islanders game Tuesday.
Certo is a longtime baseball player, but decided to try his hand at football in 2016. He tore his ACL while making a cut in practice. He rehabilitated at PPT's Wyckoff location for months.
