Wyckoff Committee Passes Black History Month Resolution
The Township Committee voted to pass the resolution, which urges "all citizens to celebrate our diverse heritage and culture" in February.
WYCKOFF, NJ — The Township Committee recently approved a resolution which officially makes February 2021 Black History Month in Wyckoff.
Committee members approved the resolution in unanimous fashion, according to meetings records.
"During Black History Month, we clebrate the many achievements and contributions made by African Americans to our economic, cultural, spiritual and political development," read the resolution.

The resolution also seeks to bring awareness to the racism still facing Black Americans today.
"The observance of Black History Month calls our Nation's attention to the continued need to battle racism and to build a society that lives up to its democratic ideals," the resolution continued.
