Wyckoff Council Recognizes Mental Health Awareness Month

The Township Committee passed a resolution officially recognizing May 2021 as Mental Health Awareness Month.

WYCKOFF, NJ — The Township Committee has officially recognized May 2021 as Mental Health Awareness Month.

Committee members voted unanimously at a recent meeting to approve a resolution that officially recognized the month, which has been observed in the U.S. since 1949.

In the resolution, committee members called on citizens, public and private institutions, businesses and schools to "promote awareness and understanding of mental illness and the need for appropriate and accessible services for all people with mental health illness to promote recover."
