Wyckoff Offering ‘Living Safely With Wildlife’ Program on 9/12
To help educate residents, Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes have partnered to present "Living Safely With Wildlife In Your Neighborhood" on 9/12.
WYCKOFF, NJ – In recent years, as sightings of wild animals in suburban areas becomes more common so has the need for residents to know what to do in the event of an encounter.
To help educate residents, Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes have partnered to present “Living Safely With Wildlife In Your Neighborhood” on Sept. 12.
The program, which is open to residents of both towns, will begin at 7 p.m. at Franklin Lakes Borough Hall, 480 De Korte Drive.

The evening will include a presentation by Carol Tyler, who serves as the animal control officer for Franklin Lakes and Wyckoff.

The incident came just days after a Mahwah woman was bitten several times by a coyote. She was ultimately able to force the coyote away by striking it with a baseball bat, police said.
