Hartigan went head-to-head with Team Kelly teammate Brynn Cartelli with '...Ready For It' By Taylor Swift.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Dylan Hartigan was stolen on Monday's episode of "The Voice."

Hartigan, 21, performed a duet battle for Team Kelly with Brynn Cartelli. They sang "...Ready For It" by Taylor Swift.

Coach Kelly Clarkson chose Cartelli, but it was not over for Hartigan. He was stolen by Blake Shelton.

"It's been a pleasure being able to work with you and and talk with you," Hartigan said to Clarkson right before he walked off the stage.

That's when Shelton stole him.

"It's hard to deny Dylan's energy and stage presence and the face that he catches your eye when he's up there," Shelton said. "More than that he's a great vocalist."

That energy, that presence, that's part of Hartigan's persona. That's partially how he communicates with the audience.

"I think there's this energy that surrounds music that's really difficult to tap into, but if you have people loving every second of a song, it can blow everything out of the water," said Hartigan, a self-described indie-folk rock singer. "When I go up on stage, I want to be able to connect with everybody."

Hartigan has been connecting with people through performances since he was 3. The Ramapo High School alumnus' first acting experience was in a 1-800-Flowers commercial. His first film role was playing Nicole Kidman's son in "The Stepford Wives."

But nothing has compared to his experience on "The Voice."

"It has been amazing. The ride the show is taking me on is unbelievable," Hartigan said before he was cut by Clarkson. "People have been messaging me everyday from all over the world, from the Philippines and Brazil, saying they appreciate my music. It's been a crazy joyride."
