New Mexico Library Shooting: 2 Killed, Report Says (UPDATE)
BREAKING: Media outlets say 2 people were killed and 4 injured in a shooting at the Clovis-Carver Public Library in New Mexico.

CLOVIS, NM — At lease one gunman shot several people at the Clovis-Carver Public Library in Clovis, New Mexico late Monday afternoon, leaving two people dead, a media outlet reported.
At least four others were also hurt in the shooting, The Eastern New Mexico News reported. Police surrounded the building around 4 p.m. (Mountain) time, the newspaper said. The alleged shooter was taken into custody, the paper reported, citing City Manager Tom Phelps.
One witness told the outlet she was in the library when a man came in and began firing into the air. New Mexico State Police Officer Carl Christiansen could not immediately say whether there were any deaths or injuries, but told The Associated Press that local police officers responded to reports of an active shooter inside the downtown building.
City officials were expected to hold a briefing Monday evening.

Clovis Police were not able to confirm details of the reported shooting and a message left with Capt. RomanRomero was not immediately returned.
