2 Central NY Focus Facilities Are Now Part of Centers
Bronx-based Company Expands Into Otsego & Oneida Counties With Oneida Center and Cooperstown Center
After it was announced last April that Bronx-based Centers Health Care had entered into a consulting agreement with Focus Otsego in Cooperstown, NY and Focus Utica in Utica, NY, the company has announced now that the ownership of the two facilities is now official. This coming after the New York State Department of Health's has cleared the takeover and the company went into closing. Centers Health Care is one of the largest post-acute health care continuum in the Northeast with 42 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities covering New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island.

Cooperstown Center in Otsego County, NY
Oneida Center, formerly Focus Utica located at 1445 Kemble Street in Utica and Cooperstown Center, formerly Focus Otsego, located at 128 Phoenix Mills Cross Road in Cooperstown will now offer their residents the highest level of post-acute care possible.

“We are proud to announce that the two former Focus facilities in Utica and Cooperstown are now part of the Centers Health Care family,” said Centers CEO Kenny Rozenberg. “We’re thrilled to welcome with open arms the residents, their family members and our new staff to the Centers family and we rededicate these facilities to providing the finest care and service, which have made these two homes so vital to the communities they serve.”
Additionally, Focus Otsego’s Long-Term Home Health Care Program and Focus Utica’s Adult Day Health Care has also joined the Centers Health Care family.

Oneida Center in Utica, NY
Prior to this official announcement, the original consulting arrangement had grown into an agreement to purchase the facilities, thus expanding the Centers presence in the upstate New York region to nineteen skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, as well as Managed Long Term Care, Home Care and Assisted Living. The company's facilities also operate seven fully accredited Adult Day Healthcare Centers, two state-of-the-art Renal Dialysis Centers, three assisted living facilities and Centers Urgent Care which provides walk-in medical care.
Last September, Centers acquired seven facilities in the central and eastern part of the state from Capital Living.
