'BlacKkKlansman' Film: Photos From Spike Lee's NY Premiere
Daniela's Lens takes Patch to the red carpet premiere of Spike Lee's highly anticipated new movie 'BlacKkKlansman' starring Laura Harrier!

Spike Lee's new movie, "BlacKkKlansman" tells the true story of Ron Stallworth, the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Stallworth bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. The film follows the young detective and a colleague as they start to undercover the investigation of a lifetime. Together, they team up to take down the extremist hate group.
Daniela's Lens attended the New York Premiere at the BAM Harvey Theatre in Brooklyn last night. Take a look below at the exclusive red carpet photos!
5:30 p.m.
All the entertainment photographers in the city are here! It's a big hello.
"They say the red carpet is 100 feet long!" says one of the photographers.
6:25 p.m.
Before we enter the press tent, everyone gets checked by security and a bomb squad dog sniffles at our equipment. It's an unusual amount of security.
Inside, my spot is all the way on one end of the carpet.
"From which side are the celebrities entering the event?" I ask the security.
"You will get them first!"
Great!

6:36 p.m.
Tiffany Haddish is first.

6:37 p.m.
Bresha Webb and Tiffany Haddish.

6:41 p.m.
The red carpet is indeed 30 feet long!
6:45 p.m.
"Did you see the movie trailer?" I ask one of the photographers.
"No, I have stopped watching movies entirely years ago."
"Why?!"
"I don't want to see any actors in my free time," he says. "The last movie I watched was in 1970."
"Woah! What about shows?" I say.
"No, nothing, no movies, no shows, not even documentaries."
"I'm the opposite. Whenever I shoot a movie premiere or a launch of something, I get obsessed with the product for a while. And I also get a crush on at least one celeb on the carpet every single night." I say.

6:47 p.m.
Tonight, I'm in love with Laura Harrier. She is part of the main cast.
"I think she is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen," I say to one of the photographers. Her skin is perfect, looks super smooth and radiant. I need to ask her what her secret is.

6:40 p.m.
Ryan Eggold brought his parents!

6:53 p.m.
Damaris Lewis is wearing the perfect red carpet dress tonight.
"Eighties disco time!" says one of the photographers.

6:57 p.m.
"Hi guys!" says Chyna Layne. She is all excited and does two rounds of photos. One with sunglasses one without.

6:59 p.m.
Spike Lee with his family.
"This will be quick!" warns me one of the photographers. "He usually rushes the carpet."

7:00 p.m.
Spike says hello to one of the photographers.
"I've known you for 20 years or so!" he says.

7:03 p.m.
Next up is Zosia Mamet.

7:05 p.m.
Singer Maxwell is here.

7:08 p.m.
Actor Corey Hawkins.

7:14 p.m.
Local artist Kennedy Yanko. I love your dress!

7:18 p.m.
Danielle Brooks does her signature pose for us.

7:19 p.m.
Did you know that the movie Blackkklansman is based on a real story? And it's Ron's story! Ron is the black detective who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan.

7:21 p.m.
David Washington plays Ron in 'Blackkklansman.'

7:23 p.m.
Nick Turturro.
7:25 p.m.
"Where is Denzel Washington?" asks one of the photographers, "he was on the tip sheet!"
"He never does the carpet unless he is promoting something," I say.
"Why not?"
"Maybe he is over it?"

7:28 p.m.
Margot Bingham in a beautiful summer dress.

7:32 p.m.
Elaine Welteroth and Aurora James
One of the photographers doesn't take their picture.
"Nobodies," he says.
"You need to do your homework! Elaine is the editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue" I say to him. Then I ask Elaine and Aurora to pose together for another shot.

7:39 p.m.
Actress Ilfenesh Hadera.
