Albany County Government: Albany County Department Of General Services Announces Times Union Center Parking Garage Construction

Please be advised of new traffic patterns at the Times Union Center Parking Garage starting Monday April 12, 2021. Beginning Monday, parking garage renovation work will return to full scale and require partial closures of designated floors. Work will be performed in two week phases to accommodate construction on and below each designated level. The roof deck, Level 6, will be open for parking during all remaining phases of work. 

The first phase, beginning Monday, April 12, will require partial closure of the north half of Levels 3 and 4 with the remaining south half open only to allow two-way traffic. No parking will be available within the non-work zone of Level 3 or Level 4 during this phase.

The second phase, beginning Monday, April 28, will require partial closure of the south half of Levels 3 and 4, with the remaining north half open only to allow two-way traffic. No parking will be available within the non-work zone of Level 3 or Level 4 during this phase.  Please also note that during the second phase, both the Market Street entrance on Level 3 and the exit on Level 4 will be closed. All vehicles will be required to access and leave the parking garage through the Beaver Street Gates.

The second phase is anticipated to be completed by May 13. Reminders will be sent prior to each phase change. Thank you for your continued cooperation during the County’s remediation and repairs of the parking garage facility.
