Albany Mayor Addresses Speculation Surrounding Holiday Lights In The Park
Mayor Sheehan clarified today that she has not recommended the Harriman Campus as a viable location.
Albany, NY - While there has been speculation about moving the Albany Police Athletic League’s Holiday Lights in Washington Park to the Harriman State Office Campus, Mayor Sheehan clarified today that she has not recommended the Harriman Campus as a viable location.
While the Harriman Campus provides easy access off the highway and a ring road that could accommodate traffic, it also contains critical State infrastructure that is likely not compatible with a holiday light show. Mayor Sheehan has emphasized on numerous occasions that the City does not have any jurisdiction over the Harriman Campus.
