Who: Mayor Kathy M. Sheehan and Cash for Coats program partners Jack & Mark Yonally of Lodge’s Department Store, Burke Companies CEO Tom Burke, CEO of The United Way Peter Gannon, Patty Lennox from the Elk Lodge #49 & City School District of Albany Superintendent Kaweeda G. Adams.

Where: Albany Thomas O'Brien Academy of Science and Technology. (TOAST). Location under covered outdoor pavilion on the Delaware Avenue side of the school. (94 Delaware Ave, Albany, NY 12202)

When: Tuesday, November 24 at 10:30 a.m.

What: Mayor Sheehan and program sponsors will announce the distribution of new winter items collected through the 2020 Cash for Coats Drive to Albany TOAST students in need. Cash donations were collected throughout the months of October and early November to benefit the drive, which has distributed tens of thousands of brand new coats, hats, gloves, mittens and scarves to Albany children since 2007. 1,200 coats and more than 3,500 hats/gloves/scarves will be given out to City School District of Albany elementary school children at four different schools this season.

Although the City is the seat of State Government and a thriving center of education, culture and commerce, its real spirit lies in its diverse and vibrant neighborhoods. In January 2014 Kathy M.
