Crowd Catches Teen Dangling From Six Flags Ride (VIDEO)

Authorities said the teen fell approximately 25-feet to the ground.

QUEENSBURY, NY — A teenage girl who apparently became stuck on a Six Flags Ride in upstate New York was caught by other park-goers after she fell approximately 25-feet from a stationary car on the ride.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the park at around 8 p.m. Saturday for the report of a park guest who fell from a ride. According to the sheriff's office, the 14-year-old girl from Delaware, fell from a stationary two-person car from an attraction called the Sky Ride.

Six Flags describes the ride as a "mellow-paced ride with an awesome view." Open air two-person cable cars take guests around the park on the ride.

The ride had been brought to a stop by the operator after a report of a rider in distress. The girl fell from the ride and struck a tree before landing in the middle of a crowd of park guests that had gathered to catch her.

Dramatic footage captured at the scene shows the girl dangling from the ride with a crowd of people below her getting ready to catch the girl.

"Her neck is stuck," someone is heard yelling the video.

Bystanders are then heard reassuring the girl that the crowd would catch her.

"Go ahead," someone says, before the girl falls and the crowd catches her. As soon as she is caught, people are heard applauding.

Emergency medical personnel at Six Flags treated the girl before an ambulance arrived. She was then airlifted to Albany Medical Center where she is in stable condition with no serious injuries. A 47-year-old man who suffered a back injury attempting to catch the girl was also taken to the hospital.

According to the sheriff's office, the ride and the car the girl was riding in were both in proper working order and all safety equipment was intact.
