On January 6, 2021 at Schenectady Center, the large 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility on Altamonte Avenue in Schenectady, pharmacists from Walgreens vaccinated many of the staff and residents there with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. It was highly welcomed as 31 percent of the staff consented, that's six to eleven percent more than the national average of nursing home staff who agreed to be vaccinated.
