ASTORIA, QUEENS — Actor Robert DeNiro and a developer are buying a $73 million Astoria lot from piano manufacturer Steinway to build a massive film studio, according to reports.

DeNiro, his real estate broker son, development company Wildflower and film producer Jane Rosenthal are in contract to buy the site at 87 19th Ave., the Commercial Observer reported.

The team will turn the site into a $425 million film studio with a pre- and post-production office and parking, sources familiar with the deal told the Commercial Observer.

Officials at Wildflower reportedly denied involvement in the project.

The deal is expected to close by the end of this year, according to the Commercial Observer.
