'Affordable' LIC Apartment Requires $92K Salary
It's the highest salary requirement of any building in the borough with units available in the affordable housing lottery.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Two apartments in a Long Island City building have hit the affordable housing lottery in Queens, but the building requires that applicants make at least $92,572 per year for a two person household — the highest salary requirement of any building in the borough with units available in the lottery.
The four-story building located at 25-88 49th Street has two two-bedroom affordable apartments up for grabs to those making 130 percent of the area's median income.
This is not the first time this year that a building in Queens with so-called affordable housing has required applicants to make over 100 percent of the area's median income — highlighting the citywide affordable housing crisis.
