'Affordable' Queens Studio Apartment Costs $1,890-A-Month

The new apartments, located by the Woodside-Elmhurst border, are available to individuals earning up to $95,000.

WOODSIDE, QUEENS — New affordable apartments in Queens will cost renters up to $2,530 a month.

The 23 new affordable apartments in Woodside are open to households that meet certain income requirements and apply by March 15, city records show.

There are five studios, six one-bedroom apartments and 12 two-bedroom apartments available in the complex at 46-02 70th Street, near the border between Woodside and Elmhurst in Queens.

Monthly rents for the studios are $1,890 and $1,920. The one-bedroom apartments cost about $2,200 a month and the two-bedrooms rent for about $2,500 a month.

The apartments are available to households earning $64,800 to $146,510 a year, depending on the size of the apartment and how many people would live there, records show. Individuals earning up to $95,030 can rent a studio or one-bedroom apartment.

Queens-based firm Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio designed the building, called J&J Tower. The complex offers parking for an additional fee and has a laundry room and bike room.
