Ditmars-Steinway Among Priciest NYC Neighborhoods In 2020: Study
The Ditmars-Steinway section of Astoria is on track to be one of the most expensive places in New York City to buy a home this year.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — Ditmars-Steinway is on track to be one of the most expensive places in New York City to buy a home this year, a new study says.
Homes sold for a median price of $1.15 million in Ditmars-Steinway last year, landing the Astoria subsection among the 50 New York City neighborhoods with the highest median home sale prices last year, according to a report released Tuesday by the real estate website PropertyClub.
Ditmars-Steinway, which ranked 36th citywide, was one of just five Queens neighborhoods that made PropertyClub's list.

Also included were Malba, which had Queens' second-highest median sales price, at $1.07 million, and Hunters Point, where the median sales price was just over $1 million, according to the study.
Ridgewood and Neponsit made the list with median sales prices of just under the million-dollar mark.

PropertyClub put together its rankings by looking at all recorded closed sales of residential properties in 2020. Only neighborhoods with at least 10 sales during the year made the list.
