ASTORIA, QUEENS — A developer has filed plans to erect an eight-story apartment building on a vacant lot in Astoria, according to city records.

The new development would rise at 14-41 Broadway, across from Long Island City High School, and include 30 apartments and two ground-floor retail spaces, permits filed with the NYC Department of Buildings show.

Designed by Cherico King Architect and developed by Steven Rigogiannis of Plaza North 1031, the project is also slated to include a backyard and basement parking spaces, records show.
