New Astoria 'Affordable' Studios Rent For $1,725 A Month

The city opened applications for two new "affordable" studio apartments Tuesday. Applicants need to earn at least $59,000.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Two new "affordable" studio apartments in Astoria will rent for $1,725 a month, records show.

The city opened applications Tuesday for two new studios at 32-27 35th St., just south of Broadway, but only individuals earning between $59,143 and $97,110 can apply.

Households larger than one person aren't eligible for the studios, according to the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.

To apply online, visit nyc.gov/housingconnect. To request an application by mail, send a self-addressed envelope to: 32-27 35th Street Apartments C/O CMP Consultants, INC., P.O. Box 1058, Valley Stream, New York, 11581.
