Plans Filed For 12-Story Apartment Building Near Queens Plaza
The proposed Long Island City development would bring 27 new apartments to the area, records show.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A Queens developer has filed plans to build a 12-story apartment building in the heart of Long Island City's Queensboro Plaza and Queens Plaza transit hub.
The new development at 42-62 Hunter St. would include 27 apartments and ground-floor retail space in an elevator building, according to plans filed Thursday with the NYC Department of Buildings.
Xi Zhao of Hunter Square LLC is developing the project, and Flushing-based architect Michael Kang is listed as the building's designer, the records show.

Hunter Square LLC purchased the property last year for just under $3 million, according to property records.
The site is just three minutes away from both Queensboro Plaza and Queens Plaza.
