LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Two new apartment buildings are coming to Astoria and Long Island City, according to Department of Buildings filings.

Plans were filed Monday for the eight-story, mixed-use buildings, which would replace the liquor shop 21st Beer & Soda in Astoria and the former home of the art education program Grand Central Atelier in Long Island City, which is moving to Brooklyn.

The Astoria development, at 29-10 21st St., will be designed by M.S. Savani Architect and is planned to house 28 apartments and a retail space on the ground floor, records show.

The Long Island City development, at 46-06 and 46-10 11th St., will be designed by Raymond Chan Architect. It will include 44 apartments, health care facilities, a community center, a ground-floor restaurant space and 40 off-street parking spots.

Both buildings will have elevators, according to the filings.
