Wow House: $2.4 Million LIC Duplex Comes With Private Rooftop

And it's not even the most expensive Long Island City condo on the market right now.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A luxe duplex apartment in Long Island City has hit the market for $2.4 million, surpassing the price of the neighborhood's most expensive condo sold last quarter.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom duplex is one of just two apartments in a new building at 39-32 28th St., which was developed by Soundview Partners and designed by ARC Architect & Design Studio.

The duplex comes with a private roof, a terrace, floor-to-ceiling windows and an in-unit washer/dryer, according to the listing by Queens-based brokerage Modern Spaces.

Still, it's far from the most expensive Long Island City condo on the market right now. That title goes to the $3.25 million penthouse apartment at 46-30 Center Blvd., according to StreetEasy.

The average selling price for a Long Island City condo during the last quarter of 2019 was just over $1.1 million, a Modern Spaces year-end market report found. That rose to more than $1.8 million for three-bedroom condos.
