Bankrupt Bay Terrace Country Club Up For Auction
The minimum bid for the Bayside country club is $5.86 million, QNS reported.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS – The bankrupt Bay Terrace Country Club is up for auction next week. The Queens country club, which overlooks Little Neck Bay in Bayside, filed for bankruptcy last year, records show.
The members-only club at 217-14 24th Ave. will be auctioned off on March 5, QNS reported. The club featured a swimming pool, ball courts, a playground and live entertainment, according to its still-active website.
“As President of the Bay Terrace Community Alliance, I was surprised and saddened to hear the closing the Bay Terrace Country Club,” Matthew Silverstein told QNS. “I am very concerned about the future of this site and the impact the upcoming auction will have on our community. We will be keeping a close eye on this auction. Who ever purchases this site, I hope will have the community at the table when considering what to develop at this site."

The minimum bid is $5,860,000, according to Keith Radhuber, managing director of International Properties Group, which is coordinating the auction. Bidders must be able to offer a 10 percent cash deposit.
“This is a rare opportunity for an experienced developer or investor to acquire a valuable piece of property,” Radhuber said. “Someone who is experienced in rezoning can truly capitalize on this situation.”
